This is a type specimen of Giambatista Bodoni from Parma, Italy. It is a font that is seen mostly in novels and high-class magazines. Inspired by Baskerville and Didot, the subtle background image is an ancient picture from one of the first books ever printed with the Bodoni font. Because of Bodoni’s financial support from the Duke of Parma his prints were made from the finest paper money could buy. The background pulls inspiration from the texture of the paper of the time period.
